In the afternoon of May 7th a large scale brush fire erupted in the Keasbey section of Woodbridge Township. Two alarm assignments of engine companies along with multiple water tenders and wildland firefighting vehicles attacked the fire that burned the tall brush in the area behind 1000 Riverside Dr., torching several vehicles parked in a nearby lot.
Engine 11-1 was initially requested to cover the Fords Fire District but was quickly moved up to the scene. District 11's firefighters joined several other area firefighters at the Woodbridge Police Departments target shooting range on Crows Mill Rd. and pushed into the heavy brush with hose lines extinguishing the fire in that area.
