At 11:55 Hrs, we were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on the Garden State Parkway, milepost 132 North. Upon arrival, the Chief reported a fully involved Van and instructed the first due Engine 11-1 to pull the 1-3/4" hose-line off the front of Engine to attack the fire. Engine 11-3 responded and pulled a second 1-3/4" hose-line to assist with fire attach and they also ran a supply line to 11-1 for additional water. Rescue 11 arrived on scene for traffic control and additional manpower. District 9, 9-2 was called for an additional water supply and assist with overhaul of the vehicle. The crews knocked the fire down and had to cut the van body to access the contents of the vehicle. The occupant was out of the vehicle upon our arrival. The apparatus remained on scene until the vehicle was towed.
