On March 12, 2015, Iselin 11 & 9 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 27 and Correja Ave. Upon arrival, it was discovered that it was a one vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer carrying a car. The truck went off Rt 27 and into a ditch coming to rest about 3 feet from the Northeast Corridor railroad tracks just outside of MetroPark Train Station. There were no injuries. The train traffic was delayed for several hours due to the emergency work going on. Traffic in the surrounding area was also backed up. Responding to the incident were Iselin 11 & 9 Fire Depts, Woodbridge PD, Woodbridge EMS, NJ State Police, NJ Transit PD, Amtrak PD, Amtrak railworkers and NJDOT.
