| At 4:58 hrs Hopelawn Fire Department was dispatched to the corner of Florida Grove Rd. and New Brunswick Ave. for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, units confirmed a working structure fire in a wood framed building under construction.
Chief Turcotte (Dist. 8) called for multiple alarms for this fast moving fire. Due to the open wood framing and weather conditions, the fire quickly spread through the structure and became a threat to the exposures.
District 11 was dispatched on the 2nd alarm for a cover assignment. They stood by in fire headquarters until being called to the scene to establish a water supply. Iselin Engine 3 hit a hydrant and supplied water to Keasbeys Truck. |
