At 23:06 Hrs, we were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on the Garden State Parkway Iselin Service Areas South entrance ramp. Upon arrival, Chief Malheiro reported a fully involved car fire and instructed the first due Engine, 11-3 to pull the 1-3/4" hose-line off the front bumper of the Engine to attack the fire. Rescue 11 also responded for traffic control and the crew assisted with fire attack. The crews extinguished the fire and had to cut the hood to access the engine. The occupant was out of the vehicle upon our arrival and was assessed by EMS. The apparatus remained on scene until the State Police and tow truck arrived.
