At approximately 12:06 pm, District 11 was requested by Woodbridge Twp. Animal Control, to respond to a fawn stuck in between two close fences. Upon arrival of the fire and police units, the scene was surveyed and a rescue plan was hatched. All responding agencies worked together to free the fawn, who was then released unharmed into the woods to meet up with his family. The fawn was stuck between an old chain link fence and a vinyl privacy fence. The vinyl fence was taken apart to free the fawn. After the rescue the fence was put back together. Responding agencies were Woodbridge Twp. Animal Control, Iselin District 11 Fire Dept, Woodbridge Police Dept. and PSEG.
