The Iselin Fire Department, District #11 Fire Department want to assure our residents and greater community that the level of service we provide will not diminish due to COVID-19. We will continue to respond to all emergencies. You may, however, notice a few small changes. When you call 9-1-1, you will likely be asked additional questions to determine whether you or the person you are calling for are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Please have patience with the emergency dispatchers as they gather this information. Not only is it vital to our response, their questions do not delay them from immediately sending help. Additionally, you may notice firefighters wearing masks and gloves during some emergencies. This does not mean that the patients we are interacting with have COVID-19. These are standard precautions we utilize yearly whenever flu-symptoms are exhibited, keeping both you and our firefighters safe.
